# Checking the Tick Data on MT5

## This article shows the guidelines on how to check the Tick Data on the MT5 platform.

**IMPORTANT NOTE**: This is only available on PC/Mac devices, not on mobile phones.

### **Steps on How to Obtain Tick Data:**

**Step 1:** Launch the **MT5 platform** on your **PC/Mac device**.

**Step 2:** In the upper-left corner, click on “View,” and from the dropdown menu, select “Symbols”:

**Step 3:** Click on “**Ticks**”, and the Tick Data Page will appear:

**Step 4:** Select the desired **symbol** and customize the **date range** (it’s recommended to pull the tick data for 5 minutes before and after the trade in question):
